At Vision Auto Group, our Vision Cares program is all about making a positive impact on the Rochester community. Recently, we had the privilege of partnering with Churchville Chili High School to equip a group of incredible young people with a skill that could literally save lives – CPR and AED training.
Over the course of a morning, our Vision Cares team certified a remarkable 40 high school students in CPR and AED use. The enthusiasm and engagement of these students were truly inspiring. It wasn’t just athletes from the sporting teams or students from the drama department; we had a fantastic mix of participants, all eager to learn this crucial skill. It was amazing to see such a supportive group of teachers there as well, further demonstrating Churchville Chili High School’s commitment to well-being.
But learning can be hungry work! To fuel these future lifesavers, we treated them to a delicious and heart-healthy breakfast before the training began. A healthy start sets the tone for a healthy lifestyle, and we wanted to emphasize the importance of taking care of their hearts both inside and outside of the classroom.
After successfully completing the certification process, we celebrated their accomplishment with a well-deserved pizza party! It was a fantastic way to end the morning, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the satisfaction of learning a skill that could make a real difference in an emergency.
Equipping young people with CPR and AED training is an investment in the future of our community. These students are now empowered to respond to cardiac emergencies, potentially saving lives. This aligns perfectly with Vision Cares’ mission of making Rochester a safer and healthier place for everyone.
