Vision Nissan, in partnership with the Rochester Red Wings, hosted a memorable community event at Innovation Field. This inaugural event brought together local residents, athletes, and community leaders for a day of fun, food, and friendly competition.
A Community Feast and Athletic Showcase
The event kicked off with a delicious treat for the first 1,000 attendees: a hot dog and ice cream, courtesy of Vision Nissan. The excitement continued as top high school and college athletes took to the field to compete in the Home Run Derby. These talented young athletes swung for the fences, vying for the coveted titles of Home Run Hero and Home Run King.
A Perfect Day for Baseball and Community
The weather couldn’t have been more ideal for the event, drawing a large crowd of enthusiastic spectators. The community came out in full force to support this inaugural event, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. Local dignitaries, including Mayor Malik Evans and County Executive Adam Bello, were also in attendance to show their support and celebrate the success of the event.
Special Guest Appearance: Damar Hamlin
The event was further elevated by the presence of Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin. Hamlin generously stayed until every attendee had the opportunity to receive an autograph, demonstrating his commitment to the community and his fans.
A Grand Finale with Fireworks
The evening concluded with a spectacular fireworks display, sponsored by Salvatores and Dairy Queen. The fireworks lit up the night sky, providing a dazzling finale to a memorable day.
